Dress Up!

It has been so fun having a girl and dressing her up in cute little girly clothes.  I know she will outgrow everything so fast, I can't help but take pictures just to remember how adorable she looked.
Breeze is 4 days old wearing her first dress and posing with the boys after church.

The Photo Shoot

These days any fool with a digital camera thinks they're a photographer.  Now imagine that fool is a mother of a newborn and what you get is a million pictures of the same thing.  I am just such a fool.

A couple of weeks ago, Colt and I did a "photo shoot" with baby Breeze.  I am featuring some of the best, worst and funniest (it goes without saying that they're all the cutest).

Creativity

My boys are nothing if not creative creators, particularly Dash who loves to work on "projects".  The boys had asked Boe and Kamber to bring their Super Mario Brothers games (or Mario Super Brothers, if you're Colt) to our house over Thanksgiving.  So naturally, after the Claysons left with their games Dash decided to create a real life version of the characters.  He did these costumes himself, complete with the marker mustaches.
Mario and Luigi
Grandma and Grandpa Clayson had brought the boys a Gingerbread train to make and decorate.  Our particular train broke several times, including the time Brandan knocked it over....,but we finally got it decorated and the boys were extremely proud.
The process.  Yes, Colt is wiping his nose on his sleeve.

The product.  Yes, Colt has a piece of candy sticking out of his mouth.

A beginning and an end...

The Saturday after Thanksgiving sweet Grandma Clayson passed away.  The following Thursday after school, we loaded up into the van and headed to Idaho for the funeral.  Just an hour or so into our drive, we got word that Brittany had her baby earlier that day.  After the funeral on Friday we went to the hospital to meet the newest arrival and also to see Brady and Angie's baby girl who was born in July.  It was a pretty awesome experience to see the full circle of life and remember that these babies came straight from our Heavenly Father and because of His Son, our Savior, Grandma and Grandpa are reunited in His presence.

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving this year.  Dan and Jill and the kids came to our house on Wednesday and then we spent the rest of the week eating and relaxing.  We kept everything super laid back and really enjoyed our time just hanging out.

Breeze in her holiday outfit.
Of course there is one tradition that can't be left out or Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving -  the annual Black Friday ad hunt.  Even though Jill and I opted out of actually attending any of the Black Friday events, we still had to look over the ads.  The kids each took an ad and a pen and circled what they hoped to get for Christmas, or basically everything.

This summer Kamber made a blanket for what would be her newest girl cousin and over Thanksgiving we snapped a picture of Kamber and Breeze snuggling in her creation.
