Fathers' Day/Father Christmas

The boys really got excited about Fathers' Day this year.  In the week before Father's Day, Dash and Colt decided that they would give Brandan a "puppy" since he is always jokingly saying he wants one.  Colt volunteered to be the puppy and Dash made him a collar with a name tag and put him in a box which he had Brandan open and from which Colt sprang out panting and barking.  It was pretty cute.

Brandan was gone the Saturday before Fathers' Day at a summer basketball camp with the high school team.  That day the boys decided they wanted to deliver the cards and candy bars they had made and bought for Brandan while he was sleeping in Santa Claus fashion.  Dash wanted to be Santa and Colt would be the reindeer.  Dash rigged up a sled, complete with reindeer reins and a toy bag and instructed me to leave out cookies and carrots for them to eat when they made their delivery.  I was supposed to wake them up after Brandan had come home and gone to bed, but shortly after putting them to sleep I pretended/lied and told them Brandan was home and in the shower so they could make their delivery right away.  Dash hooked Colt up to the sleigh and then climbed in.  Colt drug Dash across the kitchen to our bedroom door where they delivered their presents and ate their snack.  Both boys were up early the next morning to watch Brandan open his gifts.
