For Colt's birthday this year, he asked for a trip to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. The Saturday before his big day, we spent half the morning working on the house (we are always working on the house) while the the weather was beautiful and then we loaded up and headed to Utah right as the clouds gathered and it began to rain. Oh well, it made it that much less crowded.

| The monkey house was definitely a family favorite. While Sis peered in the window at the Orangutans, the Momma caught sight of her and sidled over for a chat. They made faces and gestured at each other for quite a while and they then were joined by Baby Orangutan, and the rest of the Madsen monkeys as well. |

| One thing we will definitely miss about living in town is neighborhood kids. When it came time to eat birthday cake and blow out candles, I literally just went outside and gathered up all the kids playing between the houses and was able to pull together quite a party. |
